The timer is how long since the alignment started, the 2 digit number is quality, it will count down from 99.9 to 00.5-00.6. So after that you should see some data, about central in the display you should see a timer (0:00), a 2 digit number (xx.x), and I think (ATT) or something. after this you should set one of your displays to HSI in support menu, first thing to do is look at the bottom row of OSBs, 2nd button from the left, the option should be called “STD HDG”, press that so its boxed, this will use a stored heading and will change your Alignment time from 6-8minutes to 1:30! right now, assuming you have power, you set your INS knob to Ground if you you are on the ground, and CV if you are on a Carrier.
